    Dear Thirumeni,
This article can be viewed only as the opinion of someone who has no idea of the 2nd largest group of christians – the orthodox. When he wrote such an article the author had the responsibility of doing atleast fundamental research on eastern christianity. The oriental orthodox and especially indian orthodox church have never been under the protection of colonial powers, thank God!The way this person depicts St.Paul sounds as if he took a sword and tried to finish off the jerusalem church. But to the contrary,he himself had the utmost respect and love for the works of all apostles, and these sentiments were reciprocated to him as well. I wish the author would read his epistles and the words of Jacob,in the Acts of the Apostles. (or maybe he has read them, but has written all this just to create confusion and ill will among unsuspecting readers).

It is not uncommon for Jewish people to call cousins as “brother”, “or sister”. And it was not uncommon for them to have two genealogies(in those days)- when a man died without children and his wife was married to his brother,so that she would have children who would be known as the children of the dead brother(children by law). How sad that this person would ridicule the genealogy just because Jesus was not Joseph’s biological son, when Jesus himself respected him as his father on earth, when the Church reveres him for guarding the lord and his mother from all dangers. If I had an adopted child he would most certainly be included in our family tree.
Thirumeni, I request you to please respond to this article from the orthodox perspective, so that the common public doesn’t equate the follies of some so-called christians with Christ. The media talks about catholicism, protestantism, evangelicism, etc and paints all christians with the same brush.I feel so sad when I read such articles which tries to describe the holy trinity, the creed and the eucharist as some new-fangled idea which cropped up in the 3rd or 4th century.

First of all we do not have to approach this with emotions attached. What you said about Orthodox communities being neglected quite right. Other things need further study including that was said about Paul.
