Blessed Christmas

I WISH YOU AND YOUR DEAR ONES A BLESSED

CHRISTMAS SEASON

(Does this picture look familiar to you? History repeats, and repeats for the wrong reason!)

 Syrian issue

The birth of Jesus Christ, Savior of the universe is being celebrated all over the world with much enthusiasm and fanfare on December 25th. Nevertheless we should admit that we are living in a world that has not yet fully understood the message of the Savior. The angels proclaimed, “Good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people” (Luke 2:10). The current situation in the world suggests that joy and satisfaction only to some but sorrow and suffering to many. It also suggests that right to live in this world is guaranteed only to those with might, lobbies and wealth.

If the message we share during the season stay just on the greeting cards we send out, this unhealthy situation will only continue ever after. Jesus came to this world as the incarnate message of love of God towards His creation. We believe in a Lord who was the messenger, the message and who worked out the message as well. He called Himself ‘Son of Man’ and hence He is the model and pre-taste of each one of us becoming truly ‘child of God’ (Gal. 3:26). This is our mission: being a daughter or son of God, become the message and work out that message in our families, in our society, in our Church and in the world we live in. Let us pray to the Incarnate Love of God for His blessings on us that we may become truly what we should. I wish you and your dear ones a blessed Christmas.

May God bless you and keep you safe and happy all through the New Year and ever after.

It is not mother Mary Mariam. It is a mother of course, but name is unknown, one among hundreds of mothers who lost their children. It is the real picture of a Syrian mother who lost one of her children. In the original picture the mother had another son in her other arm alive. I took that child out with photo editor program so that it would look like mother Mary that I wanted to say that kings and rulers still chase and kill or try to kill new tendencies and births.

Thirumeni, we should remember them in our daily prayers. Syrian Christians are killed in every day since HH Zakka patriarch and others support the present Govt.
