Inauguration of Orthodox Study Center at Pazhayannoor


The Orthodox Study Center at Pazhayannoor, of the diocese of Thrissur, was inaugurated at a function held at the Center on 22nd March 2014. The program began with Holy Qurbana in the adjacent chapel followed by the sanctification of the building. The public function was presided over by the Metropolitan and inaugurated by former speaker, minister and present MLA (Chelakkara) of Kerala Assembly Mr. K. Radhakrishnan. The family counseling Center attached to the Study Center was inaugurated by President of Wadakkamchery Block Panchayat and member of Thrissur diocesan council Mrs. Aleyamma Thomas. Rev. Fr. Jaison Thekkumpuram (Vicar, St. Dominic Catholic Church) Rev. Fr. Mathai Panamkuttty (Clergy association secretary of the diocese) and Sri Jiju Varghese (Church Managing Committee Member from the diocese) gave message of felicitation. Rev. Fr. Baby Paul (vicar of the center chapel and project coordinator) welcomed the guests and Mr. James Paulose (Trustee of the project) proposed vote of thanks. The coordinator and the contractor were awarded gifts. A large number of priests and faithful attended the function. The first stage of the project was completed at a cost of Rs. fifty laks.
